These Michael Jackson “Thriller”-inspired photos would have made a perfect Halloween blog post, don’t you think? Photographer DRK Tokyo is master at taking nighttime photos in his lair called Daikanyama. We snapped so many awesome photos in a matter of 15 minutes, all in one secluded area that he describes as “old Daikanyama,” a part of Daikanyama that hasn’t been modernized yet. Daikanyama is an area within Shibuya-ku that is basically walking distance from either Ebisu or Shibuya, and is known for lots of boutiques, cafes and the big Tsutaya bookstore. While it’s perfect to take a stroll through the area during the daytime, it’s not known for the nightlife like Shibuya or Shinjuku is. But there are countless hidden gems for a cool photo shoot.
マイケル・ジャクソンの「スリラー」をイメージしたこちらの画像は、多分ハロウィンシーズンにアップした方が雰囲気的に合ってますよね（笑）。カメラマンのDRK Tokyoさんは、夜の撮影のマスターということは、この撮影でよくわかりました。彼は、誰よりも代官山を知り尽くしているかもしれません。このセットも、１５分ほどで撮り終わったので、びっくりしました！代官山はここ何年かでだいぶ発達しているのですが、一昔前の代官山も密かに残っているので、今回はそういう「ストリート」な感じの場所を選んで撮影しました。渋谷や新宿ほどのナイトライフはないのですが、代官山ならではの夜の魅力があることを知りました。
I want to keep this post short and simple, because I know I roamed on with my last post about my personal thoughts. I do want to say, however, that I am so thankful to have received so many supportive and thoughtful comments and words of encouragement on my last post. I was genuinely surprised in a good way. Time and time again, I’m amazed at the support system of the blogging community, and I’m always so grateful to be a part of it, and if I can also encourage or help anyone else in any way possible, that would mean the world to me, too. So thank you with all my heart <3
