I wouldn’t be a very good Cosmo Girl if I didn’t introduce my favorite lingerie brands along with photos of me wearing them, right? For my November article for Cosmopolitan Japan, I teamed up with artist photographer ARISAK and hair/makeup artist Cana for a dream photo shoot in 5 of my go-to lingerie brands. Since the article is in Japanese only, I wanted to write the English version on my blog. Enjoy!

Salon by Peach John

Peach John is a Japanese lingerie brand aimed at girls in their 10s and 20s. When I visited their showroom last season or so, I discovered Salon by Peach John, a more mature version of Peach John with the frills and pastel colors replaced by refined textures and muted color palette. I love how simple the pieces are, with the elegant lace details and see-through materials. Since I don’t like the wiring in bras (am I the only one that finds them so uncomfortable??), this setup is perfect for at-home lounging.

Albâge Lingerie

I modeled their first lookbook two years ago and have fallen in love with their lingerie ever since. Albâge uses the finest lace materials and silks for their sophisticated designs. Unlike some lingerie brands, their designs don’t necessarily accentuate the breasts by showing them off, but rather, showing them off in a subtle manner through the sheerness of the lace. Their bras fit like a glove for most body shapes and sizes, so I highly recommend checking them out. If you go to their website here, you can see the photos of me from when I had a bob in said lookbook!

Calvin Klein

The brand is such a timeless classic in all their intimates. While Calvin Klein is well-known for their cotton bras and underwear for women, they also have more elegant pieces like this one piece I am wearing in the photos. Slightly sheer with lace trimming, it’s a simple yet sophisticated piece that is perfect for those who aren’t too comfortable exposing their stomach area. I find that this one accentuates your curves in all the right ways while maintaining comfort. Lingerie doesn’t always have to be so fancy!

Intimissimi

Intimissimi is an Italian lingerie brand with a wide variety of intimates for both men and women. I personally love the fact that they have so many different styles for every kind of woman. I fell in love with this setup for its unique design and color palette – I’ve also seen the bra worn as a top underneath a jacket, which is a fantastic styling idea. Intimissimi recently opened a new location in Shibuya, so if you’re in the Tokyo area do check it out!

D.bleu.dazzled

Sexy. Provocative. Dazzling. Just a few words to describe d.bleu.dazzled, a lingerie brand based in Los Angeles. I met the designer Destiny Bleu when her crew was visiting Tokyo a few years ago and learned about her brand and that Beyonce is a regular customer (!!) (you can see her wearing the d.bleu.dazzled fishnet tights during her live performance). When this crystalized bra and pantie setup arrived on my doorstep, it was love at first sight – I seriously felt so empowered wearing it. And these days, I don’t buy my lingerie to impress a guy, but more to reward myself and make myself feel good. And d.bleu.dazzled does it just right.

Wow loving how you’re serving all these different looks, Samantha!
I always thought that in general bras here in Japan were mainly frilly and very girly in style but now I know better!
Thanks for sharing 🙂

I personally am not that into lingerie but wow I am impressed by all these designers. I have a few bras from Intimissimi which I love but the other brands I haven’t heard of other than Calvin Klein. You are rocking it in these lingerie! It’s always nice to have a few great pieces to pull out and share. I’ll invest in some for my hubbie this year!
