While the main goal of the media tour in Bangkok was to explore the more historical sites such as temples and the Grand Palace, I tried to make use of the free time I had to check out more mainstream areas in the city as well. Thanks to one of the bloggers in my tour group, I was able to discover the Vogue Lounge, Bangkok, one of the most hip bar / lounges in the city.
バンコクで参加したメディアツアーでは、寺院や王宮などの主に有名な観光地を廻ったのですが、自由時間は若者の間で人気のスポットもいくつか行ってみたいなと思いました。バンコク市内ではバーラウンジが栄えていて、今注目を浴びているヴォーグラウンジバンコクが特にお洒落でした。
One of the things that immediately struck me about the Vogue Lounge was the artwork displayed at the entrance. Since I’ve become more and more interested in interior decor these days, these sort of details are really important to me whenever I visit a new place. While the lounge had a beautiful indoor bar, there was a wide range of terrace seating, making it a perfect lounging space for the warmer summer nights. The view of the nearby skyscrapers and the city from above was amazing, allowing for the ultimate metropolitan experience.
ヴォーグラウンジに入ってすぐ印象に残ったのは飾られていた写真や絵の数々。最近インテリアに興味を持ち始めているので、そういうディテールに目がいきます。店内のバーももちろんありましたが、夏の夜は気持ちいいので外のテラス席に案内してもらいました。近くの高層ビルや、ルーフトップから見えるバンコクの夜の景色は凄く綺麗で、最高のメトロポリタンナイトを満喫することができました。
Since the ladies in the group and I had a Thai massage appointment right after, we only had time for one round of drinks from the happy hour menu, but boy, were these drinks decadent! We definitely were not expecting such stylish drinks, especially the one lit up in a little treasure box, and the little butterflies decorated at the foot of my cocktail glass. We were so busy taking photos and enjoying our drinks that we barely made it to our appointment.
ラウンジの後はタイマッサージの予約を入れていたので、一杯飲む時間しかなかったのが心残りでした。ですが、ハッピーアワーのカクテルのプレゼンテーションには全員が大絶賛しました。ジュエリーボックスみたいな箱を開けたらライトが光るカクテルが登場したり、カクテルグラスのプレート部分に飾られた蝶蝶など、色々と可愛く工夫されているので女子にはたまらないです。お陰様でタイマッサージのアポにギリギリ間に合ったのか間に合わなかったのか（笑）。
Since it seems like rooftop bars are pretty mainstream in places like Bangkok and New York City, I hope Tokyo catches on with this trend. I would probably have a girls night out every weekend if there was a Vogue Lounge in Tokyo! Are there any cool rooftop bars in your area? Let me know in the comments!

Wow what a cool bar and I can only imagine how chic it is inside with all that wall art and interior decor. It sounds like such a fun place to hang out and I would love to try their curated cocktails. They sound so luxe and unique. What a fun time you had there. Too bad you had massage appointments after and couldn’t take full advantage of the amazing rooftop bar. We have a few rooftop bars in LA but definitely not in Orange County where I am from. There’s actually plenty here in Stockholm even though we don’t have that many high rise buildings, haha. I love the artwork on the walls of this beautiful bar and the drinks are certainly decadent and I’d love to have a mocktail version of one of those. I’ve never been to Bangkok, but when I go, this is on my list for sure 🙂
