A Staycation at Aloft Tokyo Ginza

I believe many people are itching to travel like the pre-pandemic days, myself included. While I could travel abroad right now if I wanted to, imagining the increased wait time at airports and the quarantining period fills me with dread. Which is why a recent staycation courtesy of Aloft Tokyo Ginza was a welcome treat.

コロナ禍がここまで続くと、みんなは海外へ行きたくてうずうずしていると思う。実は、私もその中の一人です。もちろん、どうしてもどこか行きたいと思ったらいけるのだろうけど、空港での待ち時間や様々な手続のことを考えてしまうと、いく気が失せてしまうというか・・・そこで、Aloft Tokyo Ginzaから一泊招待が来た時は、とてもタイムリーだったので、紹介したいと思います。

Aloft Tokyo Ginza is a boutique hotel that opened in October of last year, and is a part of the Marriott Bonvoy group. Conveniently located in a famous shopping district, this downtown hotel is located just a few minutes away from Ginza or Higashi Ginza subway station. Next to the lobby is the W XYZ bar, with a modern, vividly colorful interior. Breakfast is served at the WAREHOUSE and guests can grab a snack at Roof Dogs, the rooftop bar serving hotdogs. They also have a 24-hour fitness center with treadmills, ellipticals and free weights. The rooms and suites are gorgeous, with ultra-comfortable beds, walk-in showers, 55-inch 4K TVs and free Wi-Fi. I was lucky enough to stay in the Aloft Suite, and my friend and I enjoyed delicious snacks and a bottle of Chandon Brut as a part of the “Chill in the Loft” Plan.

Aloft Tokyo Ginzaは、昨年の１０月にオープンしたばかりの、Marriot Bonvoy系列のブティックホテル。東銀座駅から徒歩数分という、ロケーションもかなり良いです。モダンでシックなインテリアで出迎えてくれるロビーのすぐ隣がW XXZバー。朝食はWAREHOUSEで取ることができ、ルーフトップにあるRoof Dogsでは、ドリンクやホットドッグなどをいただけます。また、２４時間アクセスできるジムもご用意。今回私が止まったのは、アロフトスイートで、本当に素敵なお部屋でした。友達と一緒に、「Chill in the Loft」という部屋飲みプランを楽しむことができました。

I especially loved that suite provided a record player with several records to choose from, including albums by Billy Joel and Boz Scaggs. Later in the evening, my friend and I explored the bar and rooftop areas. They were completely transformed at night – such a different vibe compared to the afternoon! I can see parts of the bar and rooftop appearing in photo shoots or music videos.

Aloft ホテルのいちばんのお気に入りは、スイートルームでレコードをかけられたこと。Billy JoelからBoz Scaggsまで、好きなアーティストのアルバムを優雅にスイートルームで聴けるなんて、ちょっと贅沢な気分でした。また、夜になってからのホテルのVibesがまた素敵なんです！W XYZバーの雰囲気も大人っぽく変身し、Roof Dogsはネオンサインなどでポップな感じがまた良い感じでした。何かの撮影かPVに出てきそうな感じしません？

If you’re looking for a place to stay while visiting Tokyo, or are looking for a staycation, I highly recommend a weekend at Aloft Tokyo Ginza. The hospitality was great, the rooms are great, and the overall atmosphere and interior is tasteful and modern.
