Ted Baker 2018 Spring Summer Collection

January & February are showroom months, and I recently had the pleasure of attending the Ted Baker 2018 Spring Summer Collection. Read on for more about the men’s and women’s collections presented in the Chapel Room of the Trunk Hotel.

Ted Baker Womenswear “In The Palace Garden”

The Womenswear “In The Palace Garden” is a collection inspired by the extravagant Royal Palace and the majestic garden, incorporating tradition and spring notes along with contemporary silhouettes. Most notable are the fresh rhubarb pink, mint green, imperial yellow, and deep jewel tones like ruby red, teal and antique gold. The designs vary from asymmetrical silhouettes, soft ruffle details, elegant plating, and also includes gorgeous satin and lustrous jacquard material for a Royal Palace feel. The well-balanced styling and color-blocking are both uniquely Ted Baker, making this another beautiful collection that deserves attention.

Womenswear 「In The Palace Garden」は、イギリスの豪華絢爛なロイヤルパレスと荘厳なガーデンをインスビレーションとし、伝統や春の息吹、コンテンポラリーなシルエットを絶妙に織り交ぜたコレクション。フレッシュなルバーブピンク、ミントグリーン、インペリアルイエロー、そして深く、ジュエルトーンの赤茶色、ティール、アンティークゴールドの整った色合いが特徴的。アシンメトリーなシルエット、柔らかなフリルのディテール、上品なプレーティング、ロイヤルパレスでの暮らしを感じさせるような豪華なサテンと光沢のあるジャカードをコレクション全体で取り入れています。バランスの取れたスタイリングとカラーブロッキングはTedの世界観を存分に感じさせます。

Ted Baker Menswear “On the bright side”

Menswear “On the bright side” incorporates clean silhouettes and crisp styling with a twist. The collection’s color palette gives off vacation imagery with the blues, earthy dusty pinks, grays, olive greens, with canary yellow as an accent color. Blazers tailored to perfection, sporty details, and slim-fit cropped pants, and Ted’s signature slim-fit cropped pants have been updated for a more contemporary feel. The entire menswear collection was inspired by the laid-back riviera colors of the 50s, and the polo shirts and other casual wear is reminiscent of the movie La Dolce Vita.

Menswear 「On the bright side」は、クリーンなシルエットと無駄のないスタイリングにツイストを加えた仕上がり。バケーションを連想させるブルー、アースカラーよりのダスティピンク、ダブグレー、オリーブグリーンの色合いが多く、アクセントカラーとしてカナリーイエローが使用されています。体のラインにな馴染むブレザー、スポーティーなディテール、スリムフィットなクロップドパンツはTedのシグニチャーであるテーラードをアップデート。レイドパッックなリビエラカラーは50sが着想源であり、映画のLa Dolce Vita 『甘い生活』を連想させるようなテイストのポロやカジュアルシャツも特徴的です。
