Graduation!

I am excited to announce that I’m officially a UCLA graduate! The School of Arts and Architecture Commencement Ceremony was lovely, with inspirational guest speakers like Herb Alpert. It was nice to see the familiar faces of my colleagues again as we congratulated one another on our achievements. I’m so thankful to have made it … Continue Reading

Artistry cosmetics

Yesterday, I had my makeup done for my graduation by Ami Kuroda, a multi-media makeup artist from Los Angeles. She did my makeover using Artistry cosmetics, a quality skin-care and cosmetics line exclusively from Amway. Ami used toner, moisturizer, foundation, concealer, etc… but it felt like I had nothing on. The makeup was so light, … Continue Reading

Griffith Observatory

Yesterday, my friend and I decided to drive up to the Griffith Observatory in LA to see what it was all about. We didn’t realize we parked my car at the bottom of the hill and that we had an approximately 3 mile hike ahead of us. It was tiring, but the view from above was … Continue Reading

My new favorites

These are some of my new favorite items that I brought back from Japan. I know it’s almost summer and I should be wearing brighter colors, but you can never go wrong with black. I snagged the Zara purse for a mere $40 – I love how it fits all of my things and … Continue Reading

In the Toyko countryside

Finished my first day on set for NHK’s Tokyo Eye. Akane and I introduced different places in Akikawa, which is the countryside in Tokyo. I always imagined Tokyo to be all city life, but I was taken away by the breathtaking beauty of the Akikawa. First, we went to the hot springs and did a … Continue Reading

Girls Award

Yesterday, I was fortunate enough to attend Girls Award, a huge fashion show in Japan. This time, it was at Yoyogi Gynmasium in Harajuku. I’ve watched Japanese fashion shows on TV, but it is a whole new experience to actually watch it in person. The audience members go crazy when popular models walk down the … Continue Reading

Ghibli Museum

I went to the Ghibli Art Museum in Mitaka, Japan a few days ago. Studio Ghibli is a Japanese film and animation studio that has created masterpieces such as My Neighbor Totoro, Kiki’s Delivery Service, and Spirited Away. I grew up watching these movies, so it was a dream come true to finally make my way … Continue Reading

Natural beauty

Went on a morning stroll outside of my friend’s apartment in Hiroo. I was blown away by the beautiful greenery all around me, I had to capture it on camera. A few minutes away, we discovered a small bakery where we purchased our breakfast of freshly baked bread. Small discoveries like these really do make me smile. … Continue Reading

What a surprise

I was so lucky to have randomly picked up a magazine with so many of my favorite Japanese models! (in order) Rinka, Christina, Melody Yoko, Audrey Ayaka, and Becky. I enjoyed every single page of this issue. Plus, a small gift! It is definitely worth buying magazines here when they come with cute makeup bags … Continue Reading

Can’t get enough

A jumble of photos from the past few days. Can’t get enough of Forever 21, an abundance of Hello Kitty, Pasela caramel toast, Pain Petit Pas french toast dessert on Omotesando, scored a pair of cute heels at H&M, and my first time ever at Topshop! I was beyond excited. And one more  – a pretty sunset.
