Website analytics & privacy

Updated October 10, 2026. This page explains the optional analytics used on the Samantha Mariko website and how to control them.

Your choice

Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity stay off until you select “Allow analytics.” You can keep them off and still browse our work or contact us. Use “Cookie settings” to change your choice. A Global Privacy Control signal keeps these analytics off.

What the tools do

Google Analytics measures visits and interactions on eligible public pages. Microsoft Clarity helps us understand clicks, scrolling and page layout through masked session recordings on Home, About, DJ and Voice pages. These providers receive technical information such as device and browser details, page information and network information.

Replay masks page text and form values. It is excluded from contact, search, administration, logged-in visits, staging, pages with query strings or fragments, and unapproved referring pages. Focusing a search or other input stops replay for that page. We do not send names, email addresses, form answers or customer identifiers to Clarity.

Advertising storage is denied. The Clarity cookie-sync image is blocked. Once allowed, analytics may use first-party cookies, including Google’s _ga cookies and Clarity’s _clck and _clsk. Our choice is stored in your browser’s local storage.

Turning analytics off

Turning analytics off stops replay, disables Google Analytics and clears their accessible first-party cookies. New Clarity uploads, including its final stop batch, are blocked once replay stops. A saved change reloads the page so optional scripts do not continue running. This does not delete information the providers already received.

If your browser cannot save the change, analytics stay off for the current page and a notice remains visible. An earlier saved choice may apply after navigation or reloading. Retry saving or close the tab.

Forms and other services

Sending an inquiry is separate from allowing analytics. Our contact form, security and spam-protection services still operate with analytics off. Linked websites and embedded media may have their own privacy practices. This analytics choice does not control a third-party site you choose to visit.

Read Google’s Privacy Policy and the Microsoft Privacy Statement for their handling of information.
